Completing your paperwork

DealNow is our secure paperwork and payment partner. You'll get an email invite after your inspection is approved, and you can also open it from your deal tracker. It takes about 15 minutes.

What you'll need

  • Your driver's license
  • A photo of your registration
  • A photo of your title (if you have it), or a 10-day payoff letter (if you have a loan or lease)
  • The bank account where you want to be paid

Steps

  1. Verify your ID. Turn off ad blockers first. Photograph your license somewhere without glare. You get three tries, and if it still fails, your Plug contact can have DealNow reset it.
  2. Confirm your vehicle details and mileage.
  3. Upload your documents. If you have a loan, you'll also give consent for DealNow to confirm your payoff. This may involve a soft credit check, which doesn't affect your score.
  4. Sign the Bill of Sale, odometer statement and power of attorney.
  5. Connect your bank to get paid.

More than one owner?

Everyone on the title needs to verify their ID and sign. We'll send each co-owner a separate invite. Have them open it on their own device and log in with their own email.

Car owned by a business?

Tell your Plug contact. We'll need proof that you can sign for the business, such as Articles of Incorporation or Organization with the state filing stamp.

"Waiting on buyer"

This means it's Plug's turn: we're reviewing your documents or signing our part. You don't need to do anything.
