Idaho: notifying the DMV after you sell
Idaho requires you to tell the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) when you sell your car. Filing protects you from tickets, tolls or accidents involving the car after it leaves your hands.

- Deadline: Within 5 days of handing over the car (your pickup day)
- Form: Notice of Release of Liability (Form ITD 3858)

- Fee: $3.50
