Kentucky: notifying the DMV after you sell
Kentucky doesn't have a sale notice for sellers. You're protected by signing the title over correctly, handling your plates and keeping good records.
At a glance
- Required? No. Kentucky has no sale notice for sellers.
- Deadline: None for you. Plug has 15 days to transfer the title.
- Form: None (Affidavit of Incomplete Transfer, Form TC 96-3, only if the title isn't transferred within 15 days)
- Where to file: Nothing to file
What to do
- Sign the title over to Plug in front of a notary or at your County Clerk's office.

- If the title hasn't been transferred within 15 days, contact your Plug contact. You can also file an Affidavit of Incomplete Transfer (Form TC 96-3) with your County Clerk.
Your license plates
