Why did my offer change?
Your first offer is based on your VIN and the details you gave us. It can change for a few reasons:
- Inspection findings. If your photos show damage that wasn't disclosed, such as dents, scrapes, curb rash, low tire tread or windshield damage, we adjust for the repair. We don't deduct for small chips or normal wear.
- Different trim or options. If the inspection or Plug Report shows a different trim, battery or package than we priced, the offer is updated to match.
- More miles. If your odometer is much higher than what you submitted, we update the offer.
- The offer expired. A new offer reflects the current market.
Can the offer go up?
Sometimes, if we missed a feature that adds value, like lifetime (purchased) FSD. Monthly FSD subscriptions don't count because they don't transfer with the car. Tell your Plug contact what we may have missed.
I got a higher offer somewhere else.
Let us know who it's from and we'll take a look. Keep in mind that dealer trade-in values are often higher than cash offers because they depend on you buying a car from that dealer.
Can I back out?
Yes. You can decline at any point before you sign the Bill of Sale.
